Dan Castleman
Co-Founder + Director of Analytics
Dan Castleman is a leading Democratic strategist working to expand the field of advanced analytics in support of progressive candidates, political coalitions, and charitable groups. Since co-founding Clarity in 2012, Dan has overseen strategic and modeling projects for many of the most important institutions and campaigns in Democratic politics, including the DCCC, DSCC, DGA, and Biden for America. He has also worked extensively with issue groups like those that waged the historic campaign to legalize same-sex marriage as well as others that today continue the fight for LGBT equality and protecting a woman’s right to choose.
His expertise encompasses strategic targeting, election forecasting, fundraising, modeling, and polling. Prior to starting Clarity, Dan helped to found ISSI in 2007, another progressive analytics firm, and also served as the Deputy Director of Data at America Votes. Dan holds a dual B.A. in Political Science and Computer Science from Brandeis University. He lives in Philadelphia with his husband, but can often be found on Amtrak somewhere between there and DC.
